LOOK WHAT I GOT…
You all know I just love LOLLY CHOPS! Well, she has teamed up with the owner of her LSS to start a scrapbook/project/altered art kit club. They named it FRONT PORCH KITS You must check them out!
I am so excited. I ordered my first kit from Front Porch Kits the other day and it arrived today. YIPPEE!!! This is their second kit. I really wanted to get the first one as well but it sold out in like, I don’t know, 10 minutes or something…. CRAZY! I made sure to order this one early.
The theme this month is gardening. Ok, those of you who know be well can stop laughing now… everyone knows I hate gardening. But I do love what comes from the garden and I love garden theme stuff. I do WANT to love gardening. Maybe someday…
This kit is really awesome! You also get a CD with full printable instructions with photos to make 6 projects. Did you hear me??? SIX PROJECTS! I am willing to bet there is also plenty of left overs to make more. I will let you know.
I can’t wait to get started!

Easter 2011 and Crafty stuff
EASTER
This year we were with Dave’s family. Dave’s brother Mark and his wife hosted the whole gang at his home in Chico.
Unfortunately we missed Joe, Monica and Paolo. The school that Monica and Paolo attend has a different spring break than the school that Debbie teaches at and Julianna goes to. So Julianna and Debbie spent their break checking out colleges on the East Coast for Julianna. (looks like she has her heart set on Brown) while Joe and their two other kids headed to Aruba.
The best part was meeting our new niece Keana who is just 7 weeks old.

AS FOR MY CRAFTY COMMITMENT
of doing something crafty every day… Well, this week was not nearly as productive as last week. I am thinking that I should lower my standards and shoot for a minimum on once a week rather than once a day.
I did get one layout done… well, ALMOST done.
It my portable photo printer is acting weird so I need to send my pics out for developing which is why there is not photo on this layout. The empty green area on the lower right will say “fever” with tiny letters above spelling the word “hay” So the complete title of the page will be “Spring (hay) Fever” But when I went to look for the letters I wanted to use I was out. So I will need to make a trip to my LSS to complete the layout. But I wanted to post it because it is the only crafty thing I did this week.
This is the photo I am going to use.
Miranda hates this photo and will be very upset with me when she sees that I made a scrapbook page with it. Last week was horrible on her allergies. This was taken on Wednesday after soccer practice. She was so exhausted she fell asleep doing her homework.
I plan to me more crafty this week
Hope you all had a great Easter!
Hugs,
Jackie

Yes, I am a slacker…
I am worried I will be labeled a slacker come Monday when it’s time to post my weekly craftyness… I have done nothing crafty this week, nada, zip, zilch, zero!
This week has been so crazy with kid stuff during the day that I am so exhausted and not very motivated to get crafty. I even had a chance to go craft with two of my favorite crafty girlfriends last night but I canceled at the last minute. About an hour before it was time to go I got one of those nasty sinus headaches from allergies. I ended up laying in bed all night.
We have another crazy night of kid sports tonight but no school tomorrow and my big kids have offered to entertain my little kids for a while so I can go hold up at my craft desk for a while! Ahhhh, It’s so nice when the kids are nice without being bribed! Let’s keep our fingers crossed and see if it pans out
See you soon!
Jackie
PS~ To my experienced blogging friends out there in Blog World… Can any of you teach me how to make one of those cool signatures?

I ACCEPT THAT CHALLENGE!
My awesome friend Tina and I challenged ourselves to do something crafty every day, preferably layouts, because we both have stacks of photos and scrapbook supplies that we need to use up.
I was able to get 6 projects done this week. three of them are posted here.
Here are the other…
This layout I was determined to use stuff from my old stash. I think everything (except for the Tim Holtz stamp) is over a year old. That goes for the photo too!
This layout is also using some of my old stash. the Green, pink and yellow patterned papers are from a company that no longer exists, Leaving Prints. The big round circle and the flowers and butterflies are My Little Shoebox. The tiny letters (UCSF) I believe are also MLS and the pink glitter letters are Thickers.
Yesterday I took some time to try all of the techniques in the April edition of Scrapbooks etc… It was fun and some of them were not as easy as they looked. I think with a little practice I should be able to get it though. I do like how this one came out.
This is the layout I made with the flowers. I used all scraps for this layout. The patterned paper is Dear Lizzy’s Enchanted, the Stamp is from Michael’s the ink is from Stampin’ Up, the letter stickers are October Afternoon. The Happy cut out is left over from the Minnie Mouse Layout I did the other day. I had originally planned to use three of the happy cut outs but didn’t like the look. The two extra cut outs were just laying on my desk so I stuck it on this page. I think it looks good.
Ok, to all my scrapbook friends in blog land. Are you up for the challenge? Let’s keep each other motivated to scrap those photos and use up our stash.
I can’t wait to see what Tina came up with this week. Lets check in on her over at her blog. Our friend Diana accepted the challenge as well so lets make sure to check in over at her blog as well.
I want to see what you all come up with you leave me a comment with a link to you post! :)
Hugs,
Jackie

Meeting Mr. Hambly
- hugs Jackie
Ps- My friend Tina wants to post to her blog from her phone. I told her I would try to figure it out so I could teach her. If you are reading this, I guess it worked. =)
My Core’dinations Creative Frenzy
I am so Excited!!!!
My favorite scrapbooker Stacy Julian and my favorite cardstock company Core’dinations have joined to create a line of cardstock and I LOVE IT! You can check it out here.
Core’dinations cardstock is so cool. It has a different color core so when you sand it or tear it you will see the other color come through. It is so fun! My craft desk needs a good dusting though because I just keep sanding away. I can’t help myself!
I made this layout celebrating my daughter Gracie being hospital and surgery free for a whole year. This was the first time in her life that we have gone a whole year with no procedures! So we decided to go to Disneyland to celebrate! She was able to squeeze into that Minnie Mouse dress one more time! We bought it in 2009 when she received a Make A Wish trip to DisneyWorld. She wanted to wear it so bad and I really didn’t want to buy a new one so I am glad it still fit.
For this layout all of the cardstock is Core’dinations, the ribbon is from Michaels, the Disney accents are EK success, the glitter letters are Thickers from American Crafts and the acrylic words are Creative Imaginations.
I made this card for a teacher at my kid’s school. It will accompany a plate of chocolate covered strawberries. (Forget you saw this Ms. Newton)
For this card I used more of the Core’dinations cardstock, patterned paper from Crate Paper and October Afternoon. The chipboard strawberry is Maya Road and the chipboard embellishment is also from Crate Paper.
This last layout has photos from the day Gracie’s cardiologist took all of his patients to a Giants Game. It’s was also the day Grace decided that Buster Posy is her boyfriend. We got to go on the field and were lucky enough to meet former player Will Clark. Fun, Fun, Fun.
For this layout I used more of my favorite Core’dinations cardstock, the Letters are Thickers, the patterned paper and baseball stickers are from my stash. I am not sure who manufactures them but I will do a little research and get back to you on that.
So that’s what I did last night…
