March 2009

March was a busy month...
Miranda's California Mission Report
She chose Mission Dolores in San Francisco so Dave and I took her up to the city during spring break so she could visit the Mission and get lots of photos to use for the visual portion of the report. She did really well on the report! Got an A+ YEAH!!!

Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory

Coco's Girl Scout Troop took a trip to the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. They all got to sample the chocolate. Coco bought some chocolate covered potato chips. I got a Carmel apple to share with Miranda but she ate it all :(

Second Grade Play "Anasi"
Coco was in the second grade play Anasi. All the kids in her class were elephants. She got to say a line and did a good job memorizing it. The sad news is that this very well may have been the last production of Anasi ever. Second graders at Garin have been doing this play for as long as anyone can remember but all music programs for K -3 were cut. It was so sad for me because AJ will be starting Kindergarten soon and will not get to be in the Kindergarten play "No Turkey for Perky" that both of his sisters got to be in. I keep crossing my fingers hoping that somehow Garin will be able to keep music for the younger grades but it's not looking good.

Baseball
AJ had his first baseball game EVER! He had a hard time with it in the beginning, he really wants to hit the ball without using the T... So far no luck. His coaches are so great! They really do a great job motivating him.
