Family Cruise: Day 4

Tuesday: Mazatlan

Mazatlan was a lot of fun. We did a tour to a little island where we got to hang out at a "resort" for the whole day. It certainly was not a 5 star place by any stretch of the imagination but we really had a great time relaxing there. The tour started off with a boat ride to the island, followed by a "limo" ride to the resort. The limo was a trailer with benches pulled by a tractor :). Other than being packed in like sardines it was a fun ride. We drove through a little village and got to see some local children playing. It looked like a place where not too many tourists visit. The resort was a restaurant on the beach. We had our choice of hanging out on the beach with umbrellas and chairs or hanging out at the restaurant near the pool. We stayed by the pool because the sand was so hot it would burn our feet when we walked down to the water. The kids had a great time playing in the ocean and in the pool and also hanging around in the hammocks. It really was a nice relaxing day.

Here we are, fresh off of the ship in Mazatlan, waiting to board the little boat that will take us to a little island where we will relax all day.
